David "Madman" Poole
Adaptive athlete David Poole was raised in Townsend MT. At a young age he fell in love with skiing and continued to chase his passion after high school by moving to Colorado. At the age of 21 he suffered a spinal cord injury when he tumbled down a cliff face while skiing. That following season, with the help and support of family and friends, he began mono skiing.
Now, over ten years after his injury, he still continues to break barriers in adaptive sports and even competed in Mono X at the 2016 Winter X Games. Currently living in Bozeman MT, he spends his time working as a Peer advocate/mentor helping others over come their challenges, or on some wild adventure.
