In 1985, Hot Chillys introduced the very first body fit thermal base layer.

Made out of polypropylene, wool, and spandex, Hot Chillys was the first brand to address moisture wicking and fit under the 80's "new" body fit ski bottoms.

The tops and bottoms came in cans, and were packed in small wood crates that looked like we were shipping vegetables.

Legend has it that one of our first retailers called their sales rep wanting to know what happened to their order. Only to later find the base layers safely in their crates on top of the refrigerator with the other produce.

Our mission is for your Hot Chillys to keep you so comfortable you forget they're even there.

When you're outdoors, there is so much to take in and so much fun to be had. It's our job to make sure that nothing gets in the way. That's why we design our garments for the best possible fit and choose fabrics that pass rigorous performance testing for quality and wearability—on the slopes, in the field, and everywhere in between.

Your Hot Chillys will keep you warm, comfortable, and good looking, but not necessarily in that order.

'Cause if you're not having fun, it's just not worth it.
