What are base layers for?
- Base layer is how you stay dry, warm, and in the zone. It's the secret to staying comfortable in all cold and cool weather activities.
What's on your agenda?

What are you getting into?
- Sporty type? More action (try a body fit) means you'll need less warmth from your base layer. Laid back? Chiller vibes and less movement may require warmer layers.
How chilly do you get?
- Whether you're the one huddling by the fire fully bundled (try Warmth 10) or the bold spirit sporting shorts when it's 40 (try Warmth 7), it's good to know your cold tolerance.
What is gsm?
- GSM, or grams per square meter, is the weight, in grams of a meter of material. A typical thought is that the more a material weighs, the warmer it will be. This is partially true, a heavier fleece will feel warmer than it's lighter cousin since it has more room to trap warm air.
If you think about it in extremes, a pound of feathers would keep your warmer than a pound of rocks.
Your garment is keeping you warm by keeping warm air near your body and by wicking moisture away from your skin, not only by weighing more on a scale.
In fact, you will feel warmer in our Bi-Ply, since it has two layers of material that trap warm air, than in our Pepper Skins, which is heavier by weight.

Bio-Silver
