Too Tight and too thick for low volume socks

I have worn Hot Chillys the last five years. Love them. My new order are the same as before but they are thicker and too tight in the calf. So disappointed.

Decent boot sock

I bought these along with a set of La Montana thermals to take on a late swason goose hunt in Kansas. The socks weee just OK for me. I wore my okd wader socks one day and these the next. The Wader sick definitely kept my feet warmer. However, that is what they are made for. These will be a decent boot/hiking sock for my arsenal. Also, I am a bigger guys and have thick calves. The sock band fit pretty tight around my calf and made for a little discomfort unless I pushed the band down a little bit.
